They Won!

Ethan's Lacrosse team, the Parkland Posse Won their league!! They won gold and it was an amazing game. This Lacrosse season has been an amazing, eye opening and pretty interesting experience for us all.

During the game I was so nervous I could have been sick. My hands were shaking and I was so excited for the team.

In the end, I could not have been prouder with how every single one of those kids played. We have met some of the greatest people and this team of Ethan's is full of a great group of guys. Because of how well they played this season, next weekend they go to provincials!

I am grateful for caring parents who do so much for other peoples children.

I am grateful for an exciting finish to this crazy season.

I am grateful for a good bunch of kids my boys have become friends with.

Sauce Me Mom

I wanted to work out today. I had every intention to do it after work...I swear. But instead I came home and decided maybe I would get back to work (blogging). It has been a while.  I have begun to miss it.

As is tradition here, when the kids and I have a day off together, I make pancakes for special breakfast. This past weekend was time for a special breakfast. It was a low key weekend so it was perfect.

After I made the pancakes, the boys all sat up to the island to eat.... It's actually not as calm as that last sentence might have lead you to believe. When I make pancakes, or anything for that matter, my children morph into ravinus wild, blood thirsty animals who have not eaten in weeks. It becomes a race and they snarl and grab at whatever food is placed on the table. Often what takes me 30-45 minutes to prepare has vanished within a matter of seconds. True story.

So, not wanting to be left out of the food intake Nora jumps up into her chair and, after grabbing her 2 handfuls of pancakes, just like the boys, she yells, "Sauce me mom".

This little girl makes me smile.

I am grateful for weekends with my kids.

I am grateful for days at work where I feel so very very much.

I am grateful for proper fitting shoes.

I Am Melting Here

My house is as hot as hell right now. I am not meaning figuratively, I am being quite literal here. It is so hot that my butter in my butter dish is melted and the wax I have upstairs for the unsightly hair that now grows in shockingly random places now that I am in my 30's is too runny to use.

Literally, my house is as hot as hell.

I am loving this summer so far though. School is out at the end of this week, and I am looking forward to late nights with the kids and enjoying BC with them. We have a family wedding in a few weeks that we are all excited about. It will be a nice summer.

I am grateful for fans that work and do a mediocre job of cooling down my house in the hot summer months.

I am grateful for the new tube of tooth paste.

I am grateful for how lovely my yard looks.
