Happy Birthday to my little Daughter turning 3

On Saturday it was Nora's Birthday, I tried very hard to have her on my (and my mother in laws) birthday, but she decided she needed her own day. Go figure, shes spicy, wonder where that came from?

Dear Nora,

Happy Birthday little one! You are my special Angel, sent from up above, you are my special Angel, you fill my world with love.

You are becoming such a spirited child, and I just love it. I hope you never lose that quality. I wanted to give you a little advice on your special day....

Always ask questions and never stop until you get answers you are satisfied with. Ask everyone if you have to! Never be okay with "because"
I hope you learn the art of conversation, it will take you far in this life. When there is a group of people in a room, chat with everyone, even if you don't know them all. Introduce yourself to them. Ask them questions. If you ever need to deflect during a conversation do it with humor or a question. Most people will never pass up an opportunity to talk about them selves, which will allow you to avoid something if you need to.

If I am able to teach you anything I hope you learn this gift. Never be a wall flower, be one of the people at the party others remember (for good reasons). I hope you inherit the ability to think quickly on your feet and to be ale to do it in hard, and sometimes difficult situations. If you can learn this, it will serve you well.  But always be sincere, people can tell when you are not.

I wanted to write you something so you might know how I felt today, and I found this song, its close...

In my daughter's eyes I am a hero
I am strong and wise and I know no fear
But the truth is plain to see
She was sent to rescue me
I see who I wanna be
In my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes everyone is equal
Darkness turns to light and the
world is at peace
This miracle God gave to me gives me
strength when I am weak
I find reason to believe
In my daughter's eyes

And when she wraps her hand
around my finger
Oh it puts a smile in my heart
Everything becomes a little clearer
I realize what life is all about

It's hangin' on when your heart
has had enough
It's giving more when you feel like giving up
I've seen the light
It's in my daughter's eyes

In my daughter's eyes I can see the future
A reflection of who I am and what will be
Though she'll grow and someday leave
Maybe raise a family
When I'm gone I hope you see how happy
she made me
For I'll be there
In my daughter's eyes

I love you so much, thank you for picking me to be your mom.

A few picture highlights from the party/weekend.

Deck transformed into a tea party wonderland.

Everyone who attended, and as a weird and possibly creepy side note, the white wedding dress my mother in law is wearing is my mothers wedding dress from when she married my father John...and the blue one beside her is my grandmother Joan's wedding dress. Nice Hat Sam.

This weekend was wonderful, it was so great to have everyone over to celebrate with us.
Thank you everyone!

Today
I am grateful for 102.3 NOW radio. Remember How I told you I won $100 for telling my funny story. Well they actually did not play my funny story segment on the radio on Friday. I was really sad, but thought who cares I got $100 right? Well this morning when my alarm went off (it's not a buzzer, the radio is actually what wakes me up)  when it went off this morning at 6:20 am the radio station was playing my story!!!! I WOKE UP TO ME ON THE RADIO! Very cool!
So after Nora and I dropped Seth off at school, we went to the station to get my cash and Crash and Mars came out to meet us and take pictures!
I thought he would be taller

I am grateful for Skype because I was able to see my Friends in Madison (Sam and Monika Crowfoot) and their new beautiful baby girl yesterday!

I am really grateful that I will never look like a centaur, because I will never wear these.

These can not be for real???

I am grateful Drew arrived in Halifax safely, I hope you have fun, and bring me back something really cool!

This fantastic lady is who whipped up this tea party! If you want to have a party for your little princess, or for friends, she is the one you want! Dena made cucumber sandwiches, scones from scratch, 3 types of tea, truffles, shortbread, and this magical orange drink that was fantastic! And she brings all the tea things. Simply wonderful!
